The terms for using DWI Defense, how we handle what you send, and how to opt out.
Attorney advertising
This website is attorney advertising. DWI Defense is a lawyer matching and advertising service; it is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The DUI defense lawyers who take cases through this site pay a flat advertising fee. They never share any fee you pay them with us, and we never tell them what to charge or how to handle your case.
Using the site or calling the line does not create a lawyer-client relationship with us. That relationship begins only when you and a lawyer agree to it. Hiring anyone is your choice.
Terms of use
The state facts on each page come from that state's own agency pages and statutes, linked where they are used. Laws change, and a lawyer for your state confirms what applies to your case.
The BAC calculator, the cost tool and the license deadline counter give estimates, not legal or medical answers. A BAC estimate is not a defense and must never be used to decide whether to drive.
The paperwork reader explains pasted text in plain words. We analyze it with AI, and we do not keep the text.
Privacy
When you send the form we keep your answers: state, arrest date, the date on your license notice, whether it is a first offense, and your phone number. When you tap a call button or use a tool we record the page and the tool name, with no name or number attached.
Your answers go to the DUI defense lawyers who advertise on this site for your state. They use them to call you about your case.
Who receives your information
We share your answers with these categories of partners: DUI and criminal defense law firms licensed in your state, the intake staff who answer our line for them, and the phone and hosting providers that carry the call and store the form. Sharing your answers with law firms that pay to advertise here may count as a sale or sharing of personal information under some state laws.
Opt out of sale or sharing
To opt out of any sale or sharing, or to have your answers deleted, email contact@dwi-defense.lawyer with the phone number you used. We act on every request and confirm by email.
